Mary Elizabeth Czaus

Mrs. Mary E. Czaus RN- Dec. 7th 1937-Dec 25th 2015

Mary was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, to Winfield A. and Mary Rose Hudson and attended West Catholic Girls High School. She graduated Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School and was a lifelong registered Nurse. She married Walter T. Czaus in 1959 and had 6 children later followed by 16 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Her lifelong passions were being a faithful and adoring wife, Loving Mom to her six children, nurse and daily mass attendee at her local Catholic Church. God and Family mattered most to her. She took her faith seriously and was committed to lending God a hand in her many positions of service in the Church. She visited the sick at the Christian Care Center, gave to the poor via the Vincent DePaul Society, was a member of any ladies group she could partake in and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael the Archangel Parish. As a nurse, she always managed to add her special healing touch to the many patients she met serving as an RN at Dallas Associated Dermatologists, Baylor Hospital, under Dr. Jacobson and Dr. Whiting. No greater love can you find than that which she exhibited toward her husband through 57 years of marriage. No distance was too far for her to be with her husband Walter and facilitate his success. She always made sure that his best interests were her number one priority. Her way to a successful marriage was praying together, trust each other, forgive each other and love each other always. She played an important part in the lives of her children and grandchildren as they progressed in life, be it in academics, sports or any endeavor undertaken. Mary always had words of encouragement in the worst of times and words of praise in the best of times. She never left anyone with empty hands. She enjoyed numerous family reunions and retirement trips with her husband and family members. If it had to do with her family, she was always there, always caring and sharing and always loving. She believed in the word of God and lived according to that Word in every aspect of her life. On Christmas Day, God had the pleasure of taking her back to Himself with the customary greeting He extends to all His friends, “Well done my Good and Faithfull Servant, Mary Czaus, Now enter into the place I have prepared for you in my House”.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Walter, Her brother Winfield J Hudson, 6 children: Mark & wife Theresa, Steve &wife Diane , Joe, Mary Beth & husband Brad Bimmerle, Thomas & wife Rosemary and John & wife Samantha, 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
